Rules and Regulations

At BIPUC, as one of the top PU colleges in Bangalore, students are expected to familiarize themselves with the institution's rules. Ignorance of these rules will not be considered an excuse for violations. The guidelines ensure a conducive and respectful learning environment for all.

Code of Conduct

  • Students must conduct themselves inside and outside the campus in a manner that upholds the dignity of BIPUC.
  • Show respect and courtesy to faculty, staff, visitors, and fellow students.
  • Acts of indiscipline, such as lack of decorum, use of abusive language, disruptive behavior, or damage to property, are strictly prohibited and will invite disciplinary action.
  • Students should refrain from loitering, loud conversations, and behavior that disrupts the campus environment.

Dress Code

  • Students are required to dress neatly and appropriately, reflecting the standards of the institution.

Mobile Phones

  • The use of mobile phones in academic areas is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in confiscation of the device. It will be returned only:
    • a) At the end of the academic year, or
    • b) Upon payment of a fine of ₹1,000.

Punctuality and Attendance

  • Late arrivals to class will be marked as absences.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the campus during working hours without written permission from the mentor/HOD and Principal.
  • Students must meet the minimum attendance requirements as per the institution’s norms.
  • Absence from lectures requires prior approval from the class in-charge, with valid reasons.

Academic Progress

  • Students are expected to maintain satisfactory academic performance. Those failing to show improvement after two warnings may face expulsion.

Participation in Institutional Activities

  • Attendance at institute functions, such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Annual Day, and other events, is mandatory. Absence without valid reasons will lead to disciplinary measures.

Prohibited Activities

  • Participation in political or any activity that undermines the institution’s integrity is strictly forbidden.

Campus Responsibility

  • Students must conserve resources by turning off lights and fans when leaving classrooms, labs, or hostel rooms.
  • Carry the institution’s ID card at all times and present it upon request.

Notice Boards

  • Students are required to check the institute’s notice boards regularly. Notices displayed will be considered as officially communicated.

Consequences for Non-Compliance

  • Students with irregular attendance, lack of diligence, or failure to meet academic standards may have their names removed from the rolls of the institute.
  • Lecture requirements for late admissions will adhere to institutional and academic guidelines.

These rules are designed to ensure that BIPUC continues to provide a nurturing, respectful, and disciplined academic environment for its students.
